Possibly Babexo's final album, Last Days of Youth, combines notes of My Bloody Valentine-esque songwriting and dashes of moody noise-scapes to craft a coming to age tale. Youth, or the diminishing presence of youth, is a recurrent theme throughout the album with emotive content touching on the joyful, celebratory moments of beginning a new life phase juxtaposed with nervous, melancholic structures that paint the portrait of confusion and loneliness that pairs well with growing up.
